San Diego Auto Repair

Came here based on all the positive reviews. My Subaru Outback was due for its 30K service. When I called a local Subaru dealership they said it would cost around $650! Decided to call around and compare prices. I decided on Future Automotive after speaking to Diego. He basically told me he would look at Subaru's maintenance schedule and based on their inspection they would only do the services that actually had to be done. So if the fluids looked good or the filters were still clean, they wouldn't change them. I appreciated Diego's honesty. He explained that changing fluids, or other scheduled maintenance stuff was dependent on driver use and driving conditions. That makes sense! Why pay for something that didn't need to be changed right! Future saved me a lot of money, I ended up needing an oil change and new cabin air filter and they recommended new tires and wheel alignment. So I just spent $80. They don't sell tires or do alignment so I know they weren't trying to take my money. Overall it was a good first experience. I plan to take my Subaru here from now on, as well as my wifes Toyota Sienna. If there is one drawback, they don't have much of a waiting area. There is a small front office with chairs where you can hang out. Luckily my service only took about an hour and a half. There is a McDonald's and Starbucks within walking distance with wifi as well as other shops to eat or kill time at. Thanks Future Automotive for honest and great service!

Future Automotive was excellent! They were able to pinpoint the problems with my car accurately. They were professional and thorough.

My car was making a weird noise, so I set an appointment and I was in and out in 15 min! Great service and great explanation of the problem. This was not my first time there and I come back because I trust them. Great service and personable mechanics!

Diego and his crews did a very good job. They tested the batteries and alternator for my car and determined the alternator went bad. They ordered the part for me and was able to turn around and get my car fixed in a couple of hours. Diego did a good job to explain to me all the details about the repair, the cost and labors, even how to get a 10% coupon from yelp.com. Much appreciated! Kudos to him and his crews!

Had the tow truck drop off my car and everything was fixed before end of business. I didn't even need to stop by until I picked it up.
